The LOTR Tradeable Miniatures Game will feature pre-painted miniatures that you buy in Booster Packs and Starter Sets similar to your favorite card games. Unlike HeroClix or MageKnight, the LOTR TMG is played on a Hexagonal Grid, and accordingly each figure is attached to a Hexagonal Base, which features the attributes of the character (Combat Hex game system). A Standard game of the LOTR TMG takes about an hour, or longer depending on how many points you wish to deploy.

The first Series features over 120 different exquisite model variations crafted by some of the premiere sculptors in the industry for you to collect, including characters from all three of the The Lord of the Rings movies!

Two-player starter packs come with a set 8 figures, including unique versions of Aragorn, Frodo, Lurtz, and a Ringwraith that can only be found in the starter packs. Also included: 2 ft x 2 ft doublesided, full color hex map, 4 dice, and a rules book complete with reference card. NOTE: When you lay out this grid along side another grid, it creates one massive Hexagonal Grid to deploy your miniatures on.
